The Depot

I took the challenge at "The Memory Nest" to task.   They had this great sketch that you can see below.   I switched it up a bit by turning the one pic in sketch to a collage look of 4 pics.   Then the twist was to use up your stash and lots of layers.    I used both A&B sides of a bunch of food and cooking themed papers that I've had forever from when I did a lot of recipe card swaps.   Plus my wooden chicken embellie at the top has been all lonesome in my button drawer for probably 5 years.
Layers, well I love layers and matting.   So without counting the background piece of paper and the chicken (because of placement) I have 13 layers at the corner of the top banner.    All my cut papers and picture collage are matted either one or two times.   I couldn't believe the weight when I picked up this finished layout, but I love it.     These pictures were taken at our first dinner in Mackinaw City, MI on our vacation.   We ate at The Depot outside on the patio.  We had a variety of foods,   Smothered Steak, Fried Chicken that are pictured and then a large Club sandwich and the large order of Chicken Wings from the appetizer and sandwich side of the menu.  The 4 of us ate well.
Check out the full details of the challenge HERE and see all of the DT inspiration too.
