Mach 1

I flew down to Texas with my brother to pick up his new Mach 1 that he bought at a dealership there, he was looking for this exact color and this is where he found it.     We had a great but fast trip.   Our flight left at 5:20 a.m. one morning and the next evening at 5:30 we were back home in Missouri.   So a 36 hour road trip for us.

I made the layout to give to my brother for his album I add too.    It works perfectly for the first challenge for October at "LASTING MEMORIES".

LM #670 - As Time Goes By - Something New

LM #670 - Create a layout about something new: new school. new job , new car, new born child, etc. Add one or more journal spots.

Pumpkin Fun Run

I made this double page layout using a collection I just got as a gift.   It's an old Doodlebug collection called "Candy Carnival, but it's brand new to me as of last week.    The colors worked great for these pictures of my granddaughter Elle doing a Fun Run,  ten days ago.   This is her Halloween costume, the Pink Troll, her favorite Troll.

It works perfectly for the latest  "LASTING MEMORIES"  Challenge #673 = New Stash

LM #673 - use something that's new in your craft stash: a new dye, punch, paper, etc.

Chess

Our grandkids in St. Louis love to play chess and join clubs and play in different tournaments,  in this one they both one a trophy for their age group.

I'm using this for the challenge at  "LASTING MEMORIES"  Challenge #67   -   Family Sports and Hobbies.

LM #672 - Scrapbook something sporty or a hobby you or your family like to pursue.

New Lockers

I made this layout for the Challenge # 670 at  "LASTING MEMORIES"    My something new for the challenge is my two grandkids learning their Locker combinations for a new school year.    This is Gibson's second year in middle school and lockers and Addisyn's first year there and to have a locker.

LM #670 - Create a layout about something new: new school. new job , new car, new born child, etc. Add one or more journal spots.

Autumn Tree

I made this layout of a picture from our front door of the maple in the corner of our front yard.    The colors are so pretty.   I was out of town for a week so leaves had already stared to fall but I still was able to get a decent picture of the tree this year.

"LASTING MEMORIES"  Challenge #671 - As Time Goes By - Seasonal Colors -   Autumn for me.

LM #671 - Choose a color palette that represents a season such as Summer, Spring, Autumn, Winter and create a layout. Use bright colors or embellishments.

Take the Blue Highways

Back in the '80's I read a book that was on the best sellers list called  "The Blue Highways"  by William Least Heat-Moon.    It was about his travels around the United States and all the little towns he explored while traveling "the blue highways" and not the interstates.     I love doing this and try to get off the interstate whenever traveling.     My husband is more of an interstate and get to the destination, but I've taken several family road trips as a group and we travel off the interstate a lot of the time.    This layout is from one of 5 "Route 66" road trips just my brother and I have taken over the last 3 years.     In May we took two   2-day road trips thru Illinois on Route 66 and no interstate.   This was from the first of the two trips and the northern part on Route 66.    At this stop at the Polka Dot Drive-In in Braidwood, Illinois where we found everything Superman (and his phone booth which I posed in for pictures),  Elvis, the Blues Brothers and Betty Boop.   It was such a fun stop and something you would never see traveling down the interstate.     So I made this layout for the    "SCRAP CHALLENGE YOURSELF"  October challenge to use your favorite quote.   Mine being "Take the Blue Highways.

UTAH

My daughter and family took a 10 day camping trip to Colorado and Utah back in July and I'm starting to make some layouts from that trip for them.     These pictures were from when they first crossed the state line into Utah.   I love that they stopped and took pictures.

I'm doing the Scrappy Friends Challenge with this layout.     I used the sketch from "ROCHELLE  SPEARS BLOGSPOT"  What a great and fun this challenge was.  I loved it.

Next I did the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge at  "SCRAP WITH STACY" .   I did the right column,   Doily, Chipboard (chipboard alphas for my title) and Cork, I used cork patterned paper around the photos.
