Be Happy, Love, Never Give Up

This is probably at best only the 4th or 5th layout I've made that only had a picture of me on it.  Coming down to the wire on the last day of the month but finally got my layout completed.

I wanted to enter the challenge at  "CHALLENGE YOURSELF"  Challenge #65 is Life Goals.    I just had this picture taken of me this last weekend while we had family in town and I was enjoying time down on our new dock at the Lake of the Ozarks.   Last year our dock was just big enough to walk around the side of the boat, but we had a new big one built last fall with room for some furniture and our fire pit.   Finally after all the rain and winds we have had in the midwest we had a weekend to enjoy it and I was taking full advantage of it.    But back to the challenge of Life Goals, I have those in 4 places on my layout,  with Washi Tape "Make Today Amazing"   then 3 more goals in wood veneers, "Be Happy"  "Love"  and "Never Give Up"

Quote Card

I have so many PL style cards I may never us them, but this is a great way to use them on cards.
The card sketch #146 at  "SKETCH N SCRAP"   was perfect for this because in the sketch they have a place for a quote.    Here is the sketch I used.

Home Sweet Home

The new challenge #360 at  "USE YOUR STUFF"  is a mood board.  I actually made this layout yesterday but when I saw this mood board early this morning I was inspired by many things on it, that reminded me of the layout I just finished yesterday.  To me the board had a feeling of home with the dishes, drinks  and sewing supplies.    And this layout is about my daughters new home they just moved into this weekend.   So I have this layout using most of the colors in the mood board other than the yellow.   It's hard to see in the picture I used, but the rug on the floor in the middle picture where only a small amount of it shows, when you see it in person it is almost like the top left picture on the mood board with the swirls of blues/greens/aquas.

Here is the mood board and the link to the challenge at "USE YOUR STUFF"

Schools Out For Summer

The happiest day of a kids life.   Coming home from the last day of school for the year.

I used Sketch #177 at  "SKETCH N SCRAP" for this layout of two of my grandkids.
They sure seem happy.  They will be here tomorrow so this layout will be added to the
stack for them to take home with the others since the last time they were here.

Liberty Theatre - Mexico, MO

I've been working over time on a series of layouts about places in my hometown of Mexico, MO that have a special place in my heart, some are still there, some are gone.   Today I made this layout of the theatre I went to practically every weekend from Junior High through High School and again when I was home from college.   It was finally torn down but I wanted to make this layout remembering how great it was and preserve my memories of it.

I used the new May pick your side challenge at  "SCRAP OUR STASH"  This is the link and more information below.   I picked the right side and I added a tag "movie night" on my layout as was to be done in the challenge.   I've been saving this tag and so glad I finally used it for the layout.

Birthday Party Time

My granddaughters outdoor birthday party got rained out but at the last minute they were able to get the whole group into Chucky Cheese and it looks like it was a success and everyone had fun.

I used the May single page sketch at  "STICK IT DOWN"  for this layout.

Happy Mothers Day card

I had to rush and make a Mothers Day card for my daughter today.   I got it out in the mail immediately and it should make it to her tomorrow as she just lives 70 miles away.

I used card sketch #145 from  "SKETCH N SCRAP"  to make the card.   I love anything with little flags so this was a great sketch for me.

Here is the link for   "SKETCH N SCRAP"  and the sketch I used.

Hello Spring

I used the April 1st sketch #176 at  "SKETCH N SCRAP"  for this layout.   I think the hardest part was coming up with something for a large title, but I finally figured it out and I'm happy with the outcome of everything.

Here is the link to  "SKETCH N SCRAP"   for this first challenge of the month plus the 3 other challenges and a bonus NSD challenge for the month.     Here is the sketch that I used.
