1 Night till Home

I made this layout yesterday using the challenge at "LASTING MEMORIES"   I did the "THIS" option and made my title out of letter stickers.

LM #794 - This or That: Stickers or Stamps/Die-cuts

Greetings, everyone, and thanks for dropping in to check out our latest challenge. This is design team member Cheryl, and all our challenges this month require you to make a choice between the two given options to inspire your layout. Are you ready to decide between This or That? Let's go!

LM#794 - THIS: Use alphabet stickers for your title OR
THAT: Create your own title using die-cuts or stamps.

And then the tic-tac-toe challenge at  "SCRAP WITH STACY"    I did the diagonal right top to left bottom,  Stitching (faux), Triangle and Stripes or Dots.

80's Party

I made this double page layout for the "LASTING MEMORIES"  April challenge #793.    This or That, use the sketch or scraplift one of the design teams layout.   I used the sketch given for this challenge.

It was great for using multiple photos, so I will be keeping it to use again.

Cheers to Cruising

I made this layout this morning and it works for today's "LASTING MEMORIES" Challenge # 786

LM #786 - The Power of Words: Word Stickers

Good morning, scrappy friends, and welcome back to another challenge here at Lasting  Memories. This is design team member Cheryl, and when I first wrote up this post, I had just finished reading The Hobbit with my daughter as part of her home school English class. One of the themes of the book is the power of words, which inspired me to see how we can use words to great effect on our layouts.

LM#786 - Use word or phrase stickers on your layout.

Mexico, MO library

When I find the right pictures I like to make layouts about my home town or other points of interest around Missouri.
Today I made this layout about the public library in my hometown and the history of when it was first started.
I'm entering this at "LASTING MEMORIES" for Challenge #785 - The Power of Words: 50+ Words.

Live Joyfully

I made this layout for the Scrappy Friends double challenge.   First the sketch from "ROCHELLE SPEARS BLOG"      and the Tic-Tac-Toe swap at "SCRAP WITH STACY"    I did the right column, any shade of red, Vellum (my title Live Joyfully) and ephemera.

Cheers to Us

This picture was taken on formal night at one of the photo screens.   I was really happy with how this one turned out.  We were on a pre-Christmas day cruise (Dec 7 - Dec. 22) but this was their early Happy New Year photo op.   I'm so glad I saw it set up back in a corner and went over to have our picture taken.

I pulled out my case of Valentine theme papers and embellishments to make this and loved this background paper that was there as all I had to do was add a few extras and I had a layout I was really happy with.    BTW, the corner triangle piece was the other half of what I cut from a 6x6 piece and used in another layout I made earlier today and when I saw it sitting off to the side of my desk I decided to use it and I think it added just enough of another element to the page.

I made this for the January challenge at "CHALLENGE YOURSELF"    I think it fits the theme perfectly.
