COUSINS

Loved getting this picture of my son (center top row) and one of his cousins (bottom right) and then the next generation of cousins.    There was more there together but nice to have this group picture.

I used the mid month sketch challenge at  "SCRAP OUR STASH"  and I made sure to add the required circles to my layout.

Color

One of the prompts we had this month in the scrapbooking group I'm in was to make a layout of toys and things we played with as a child.    This reminded me of another crafty love I had growing up.

I always loved to color as a child and then it turned into doing Paint By Number, in fact the matted picture on this layout is one I started last year and need to get back to as soon as I get some better brushes.

But to finish this layout off I thought about this weeks challenge #591 at  "LASTING MEMORIES" - Love Your Stash challenge  of Finishing touches.     For some more pops of color I added bling, sequins and enamel dot around the layout.

LM #591 - Love Your Stash - Finishing Touches

For the month of March, we have been showing our scrappy supplies some love and getting them onto our layouts. This week's challenge is:

LM #591 - Finishing Touches - Enamel dots/shapes, brads, sequins, bling, Nuvo drops - pull out those supplies we love to use for finishing touches and add them to your layout.

Musical at the Fox

Our daughter-in-law and granddaughter had a date together last week at the grand Fox Theater to go and see the musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.   It was the first time there for both of them and they both loved the theater and the show.    Addisyn came home and her Mom said she immediately started looking at what other plays that had there they could go to.

I was inspired by the double page sketch for March at  "STICK IT DOWN"  since I had so many pictures I just turned the 2 4x6 pictures on the right page into 4 3x4 pictures in the same location.    It worked out great.

I also wanted to use the new challenge at "LASTING MEMORIES" to use punches, dies and/or ephermera.   I used a heart punch once on the left page and two place on the right page, plus the swirl die-cut on the right side.

LM #590 - Love Your Stash - Punches, Dies, and/or Ephemera

It's time for our third challenge of the month so let's get to it!

For the month of March, we are showing our scrappy supplies some love and getting them on our layouts. This week's challenge is:

LM #590 - Punches, Dies, or Ephemera - Dust off those punches and dies and show them some love this week. If punches and dies aren't your thing - then add some ephemera to your layout - of course, you are welcome to add them all!

Father & Son

I printed these pictures the other day and this morning when I saw the new challenge sketch #245 at  "SKETCH N SCRAP" I knew I just had to rotate the sketch and it would be perfect for these pictures.   With my grandson turning 16 this summer I don't always have pictures of him to scrap.    Boys that age don't want to pose for pictures.   So a rare occurrence of having two recent pictures of my son and grandson together.

Jacko

Not often I get to enter twice at "CHALLENGE YOURSELF"  but while looking for pictures the first time to work with this prompt.     I found another one that would work.    This was probably from about 2012 and I was visiting my daughter in DC.   This was their pet at the time.   Jack the hamster.   Their first baby.  Later to be followed by one dog, then another dog,   the a real baby girl, then the 3rd dog.   Their family just kept growing.     Jacko has passed now as has one dog,   but all other babies remain, although Elle is already 5 years old so my granddaughter is no longer a baby.   LOL

My birthday in 2017

I've been going through old pictures on my computer and picked this one to use from my birthday in 2017.
Everyone but my son who lives in Texas got together for a family dinner out together.    My husband, my Dad, my brother, my daughter, son-in-law and 3 month old granddaughter.   It was great to all go out and celebrate together.

I used sketch #507 at  "SKETCHES N THYME"  for this layout.

Sharing

I was looking through old pictures on my computer a couple of days ago looking for some pictures my son wanted of his Dad.   I found all of those but then I found these two also.   I knew they would work great for the March challenge at  "SCRAP YOURSELF".   This was my Dads dog Precious while she was still somewhat of a puppy.   She was in someone lap all the time.    This time I was having some of my nephews birthday cake and he wanted to be included and was right there sitting on my lap.

Building

When I first saw the single page sketch at  "STICK IT DOWN" for March, I just wasn't sure if I liked it or not.    But today I came up with an idea and I love this sketch.   So different than anything else I've ever created so I'm saving the sketch and will be using it again.   Such a clever sketch and makes for a new look I've never done before.     Thanks for the inspiration.

Here is the sketch from "STICK IT DOWN".

VACATION

So glad to see "LET'S GET SKETCHY"  back with sketches and challenges.    I wanted to make sure I got right to work on using the new sketch to make a layout.     They didn't disappoint with a great sketch to use.    I'll be saving it to use more than once.

Here is the March challenge sketch at  "LET'S GET SKETCHY".

Hello Flamingos

I had these pictures of our granddaughters on vacation last summer in the Bahamas and when I saw this flamingo paper I remembered the pictures.   So it all worked out perfectly.

I'm entering this layout at "LASTING MEMORIES"  Challenge #588 - is Love Your Stash - Stickers.          I used puffy stickers for the title, the center heart and down the right side of the layout.

NATURE

Still winter here in Missouri so I started looking back at old vacation pictures looking for some fun flower photos.    I found some from my trip to Sydney, Australia.    We saw some beautiful flower just out in the middle of nature.

I'm entering this at  "SCRAP OUR STASH".   For the first challenge of the month it is their 'Wheel of Challenges' and the wheel landed on Theme, so Marches theme is Spring and you must use flowers on your layout.

Key Lime Pie

Another snow day for our grandkids in St. Louis and "when life gives you 'limes' make 'key lime pie'."

I started off my new scrappy month using the Scrappy Friends double challenge for this layout.

I started off with the sketch from  "ROCHELLE SPEARS BLOG"   and then used the  tic-tac-toe board at "SCRAP WITH STACY"   I used  the row across,  Wood, Circles and Metal.
