Route 66 Museum

This is the third layout I've made about our stop in April at the Route 66 Museum in Clinton, Oklahoma.   There was so much to see and we took so many pictures.     So when I saw the sketch this morning at  "LASTING MEMORIES"  I knew it would be perfect for me to use a lot of photos from this stop.

Love my Grandkids

I just loved this July sketch at "THROUGH THE EYES OF ROCHELLE SPEARS"   I worked with it today and got it to work with so many challenges.   I combined the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge at  "SCRAP WITH STACY"  by using the diagonal   Ink/Paint Splatter - Stars & Chipboard.     The my other monthly challenge  I like so much is  "CHALLENGE YOURSELF"  #115.   This month besides always scrapping a picture of yourself it was to be about your Happy Place, and this was me in my Happy Place with my Grandkids that live in Ft. Worth.   So glad to go visit with them on their home turf.

Adventures

This double page is actually my 2nd and 3rd page about Harley at Sandhill Curiosity Shop in Erick, OK.

If you follow Route 66 pages on Facebook, everyone posts their pictures and comments about where they stopped along the route and what they saw.   Harley the owner of this shop gets lots of comments and some warn you that he is brash and no filter so be prepared when you go in.    Well we are easy and nothing bothers us so we were looking forward to the stop.   Harley definitely doesn't have any filter but oh man he is ever a hoot.   We stayed so much longer than we planned, much longer than any other stop we made except maybe a large museum.   After our visit Harley told us to go to the lot next door and be sure and get pictures of the side of the building and all the signs he has collected and told us that it is his house at the end of the vacant lot and to walk back there and get more sign pictures.   He has so many old signs from the past roads and places along Route 66 and it was such a fun stop for us.

I used the double page sketch at "STICK IT DOWN" for this layout.

How Does Your Garden Grow?

My daughters family have to raised bed vegetable gardens and they are both doing so well.   You can see on one picture how big their zucchinis are by the one laying on her arm.    Elle loves to go out everyday and see what is new and ready to pick in the garden.

I used the single page sketch at "STICK IT DOWN"  for this layout.
