Real Life on Route 66
I'm trying to fill in some layouts for various trips and vacations. This was a lunch stop somewhere along Route 66 in Illinois on our way for a few days in Mackinaw Island, MI.
This was a great old fashioned diner/cafe with great sandwiches and we all had homemade pieces of pie for desert. Dad loves ice cream and milk shakes so we surprised him with this big old fashioned hand made malt. They even had an antique cash register at the counter where you paid your bill.
I used week #3 Sketch #165 at "SKETCHES IN THYME" for this layout. It worked out perfect for these lunch pictures and luckily I snapped a picture of the outside of the cafe so cut it out for my little round picture.
