Valentine Dinner
Valentines Dinner scrapped in July. I hadn't scrapped these pictures yet and this newest sketch at "Let's Scrap" was just perfect. 4 picture sketch and that was exactly what I had from the dinner we made at home on Valentines Day this year. We rarely go out on Valentine's Day because we are really bad on deciding where to go and by the time we decide everything is booked.
This year we started with a salad, then for our main course we had a small filet and small lobster tail, fresh asparagus bundle wrapped in bacon and then grilled, small twice baked potatoes (that I forgot and left in oven, until we were almost finished eating) some garlic bread and then we bought 4 mini miscellaneous cupcakes from the bakery. It was so good and so much to eat. A great night at home.
Instead of the circles that you will see at the bottom of the sketch I had this 12x12 piece of scrapping paper with all these pictures of veggies on them and I just fussy cut them out and use them as my embellishments. Then since I used a light patterned paper as my background paper I added some color to it by just blotting some green ink around it and on the background doily I used. The orangish doily is one I cut using a Martha Steward circle punch. Check out all the details of the challenge at "Let's Scrap" HERE plus I've added the double page sketch below.

HopScotch
I got some candid pictures of the grandkids last weekend playing hopscotch out in the driveway.
I pulled out my collection of My Minds Eye - Kate & Co. just because I wanted to pull the lime green from Gibson's shirt and work with that. I actually only took these 3 pictures and they worked out
perfectly for sketch #84 at "SKETCH-N-SCRAP" I have a lot of patterns going on with this layout but I'm pleased with it.
Be sure and go here to "SKETCH-N-SCRAP" to read all about this challenge, you have till the end of July to enter. And don't forget to check out the 3 other challenges during the month.
Nacho Average Challenges #149
One more Christmas in July card complete using sketch #149 at "NACHO AVERAGE CHALLENGES " This sketch worked perfectly for my Christmas in July prompt of using ribbon.
The sketches at "NACHO AVERAGE CHALLENGES" are always great so check it out and see what you can do. You still have 4 days to enter.
Die-Cuttin' Diva's Christmas card
I really liked sketch #223 posted yesterday at "DIE-CUTTIN' DIVA'S" so I went right to work on a card using it. I'm doing Christmas in July on my yahoo group so this is one of the cards for it too.
That prompt was to use flowers and I made these die-cut poinsettias. So that is the die-cut I added to the sketch. Go to "DIE CUTTIN' DIVA'S" to read all about this challenge and join in the fun.

A Christmas in July greeting card
I'm working on Christmas in July and I'm going to have the majority of the cards I will need made by month end. Always good to have a big Christmas project finished way ahead of time. November and December is busy enough as it is without trying to make handmade greeting cards.
For this card I just went to my stash and found this cling sticker of a Christmas tree and put just inked the edge of the off-white paper I put it on. It matched well with my background paper.
I used the sketch #308 at "TUESDAY MORNING SKETCHES" for my design. You can check it out yourself for all the complete details on the challenge. Just 4 days left to enter so get busy and have fun.
Happy Holidays card
I'm in a yahoo group and we are doing Christmas in July and making 31 cards over the month with different daily prompts. Today I worked with the Christmas Tree prompt and made this card.
I'm entering it in two challenges.
"SHOPPING OUR STASH" - Challenge #209 is Gingham Style, they wanted to see gingham or anything with squares or checks. I went thru all my pieces of 6x6 paper and all the 6x6 stacks I seem to collect and I chose this background paper to use and then decided to make a square card too.
Next the "CLEAR IT OUT CHALLENGE" - its an anything goes challenge using our stash.
I've had the background paper for awhile now, the image I got in a swap probably 4 years ago and I just cut down the paper it was on and double matted it, inked the edges and colored the tree and added some glitter dots to it. Then I used some rub-ons I've had for 3 years for my sentiment.
"SHOPPING OUR STASH" check it out, you still have 6 days to enter
"CLEAR IT OUT CHALLENGE" check this out & you also have 6 days left to enter.
