Our Campsite

When I saw this months challenge at "BO BUNNY"  I knew I would also be using my "Trail Mix
collection".   I just had to wait and see what pictures I got from my son and daughter and grandkids and the rest of the gang on a camping trip they went to a couple of weekends ago.

I decided to start with the perfect pictures to go with my picnic table background paper that is in the collection and use pictures of most of them around their picnic table.   They had a fantastic 4 nights camping and on a beautiful lake to take their boat and kayaks out on.   The only problem was the heat during the day and then the huge thunderstorm complete with lightning and downpours on their last night there.

Here is the sketch for July at the   "BO BUNNY"   blog, be sure and check it out and enter for a chance to win their Firecracker collection.

I Love Cheetos

I really had fun with the sketch #63 at   "THE MEMORY NEST"   working with the arrows was so much fun.   I started with the pictures I knew I would use of my grand daughter Mylan, stuffing Cheetos (her favorite snack) into her mouth while on a family camping trip a couple of weeks ago.

I went to my papers just thinking I would find some papers in orange to go with the color of the
Cheetos bag.   I got really lucky because the first piece of orange paper I saw was the one I cut the arrows from   A piece from Studio Calico - That Away collection and it was all arrows.   Then saw the background arrow paper that I used in the same collection.   Couldn't have worked out any better.
I put it all together and then added 3 more wood veneer arrows to complete the layout.

I'm looking forward to then weeks to come in July to see the other sketches at "THE MEMORY NEST"  so click   HERE   and check out the details for this week and all the chances to win.

Take Your Daughter to Work Day and a BLOG HOP

This is my first reveal for the July challenges at "LASTING MEMORIES".     The theme for all the
July challenges are going to be "Childhood Games"   The first one is Marbles.   You can make your layout about the game itself,  or if you happen to collect marbles, time to showcase them in a layout or just use the picture below as your inspiration.     That is what I did.   I had this diecut piece of paper that I just put over a piece of solid blue yardstick.  I thought if you looked at each circle in the die-cut alone you could see a marble with the the design inside of it.   Then i just went with more
round/circle elements, on the two pieces of patterned papers and then the circle frame I cut and used.

Can't wait to see how everyone else interprets this challenge.    Hope to see a lot of entries and trying for this months prize.

Check out the details here at   "LASTING MEMORIES"  and see what the other design team made.
You have till the end  of the month to enter all the challenges.

Plus I didn't get an extra post done for the blog hop.   But just comment here to be included.
I'll send a small prize to the random winner that comments and is a follower or becomes a new follower to my blog.   Here is the list of blog hop entries.     You should have come to my blog after visiting Sandy's blog and then after mine go back to Lasting Memories.

Here is the order of the blog hop in case you get lost along the way:

Big Brothers

I made this layout for my daughter.   This was here way to have their first born fur-babies announce that they were going to be big brothers to a 2 legged baby due in January.     So I thought this was a fun layout to make for the pre-baby album.   :)

I used the July 1st sketch #108 at "SKETCH-N-SCRAP"  for my inspiration for this layout.   I did have to rotate the sketch to make my horizontal pictures work.    Design Team member Lori has a great prize for this month so be sure and check out all the details for the challenges in July at
"SKETCH-N-SCRAP"

JULY PL title card

I made this 4x6 card for my title card for July project life pages this year.   I was doing weekly pages to start the year but in April switched over to monthly.   I just found it was easier and not as much pressure to fill 2 pages a week.

I used this picture because this is the window to the spare bedroom on main floor of our house that I use for my scrap room.    So since I'm always on the inside looking out, I thought I would take a picture of the outside looking in.

Here is the sketch I used at "SKETCHES IN THYME PL STYLE"

This is just the first sketch of the month and will be a new one every week so keep checking back and entering every week.   Also look everyday for new reveals from our design team.

Smiles from Addisyn

I love  my granddaughter Addison's smile and it is so sweet in this picture out at the park.    Not a lot of background on this pictures.   I just pulled it off of Facebook because i knew it would be so sweet on a layout.

I went with the week 3 sketch at  "LET'S GET SKETCHY"  it was perfect for a single picture.

Here is the sketch and go to "LET'S GET SKETCHY"  to see this challenge and all 4 weekly challenges for June.    "Freckled Fawn" is the prize sponsor this month.
