Nothing beats jumping in the swimming pool on a hot summer day and my granddaughter Elle is no different. She loves coming over to her Uncles house on weekends and swim all she can. Luckily I have been able to spend a lot of those weekends with her this summer and enjoy swimming with her.
With coronavirus going on my daughter and son-in-law couldn't celebrate their anniversary as planned with a nice trip, so my daughter improvised and created a scavenger hunt travel adventure at their home with all these notes for clues of the gifts she had for him. She shopped for GC at their favorite local places for some gifts, like their favorite restaurant for special occasions, favorite pizza place, favorite coffee shop and the bike shop he frequents with his bicycling team. Plus donuts for breakfast for their favorite donut shop and a zoodle maker from the local kitchen store that she was able to get with curbside shopping. It wasn't the same as the trip they took to Italy last year on their 5th anniversary but still just as special for the two of them while at home. Plus special for me because she saved all the notes for me because she knew I could use them to make a layout. She only took one picture of his gifts all together and then I added a wedding picture on the first page of the layout.
Hello, everyone! Good Sunday morning to you all! I hope you are having a good weekend. It is a new month and that means we have a new theme and a new set of challenges for you today!
For the month of August DT member Deanna is providing our challenge and the theme for this month is - Scrapping Special Events. Sometimes it's a struggle to get those special events in your life scrapped so Deanna has chosen a few different choices for each week this month and we hope you'll play along!
These are my only nephews (or nieces). They live in Australia so I haven't even met Remy yet, but I see pictures of them all most daily so that helps having them so far away. I'm making an album for my brother ( their Grandpa ) for Christmas. For this layout I used the Scrappy Friends challenges.
Oh so pretty with a flower in your hair, oops I mean a flowers in your bike helmet. Whoever said
bike race can't be pretty and stylish.
I made this layout for the July 2020 Sketch Challenge at "SCRAP OUR STASH"
I went straight to my stash and found these 2 leftover 6x6 squares of the blue star paper, I just cut them to make a little smaller and then I had one strip of the red star paper left and I cut it into my banner and what was left of it I cut out the white stars leaving a little red around them and then lightly inked in red. I used the little yellow tag for the date to pull the yellow from the center of the flower and also to work with the gold puffy title alphas and the gold glittery arrow.
Nothing says summer more than eating a big slice of watermelon. Oh so good. These pictures
look like my granddaughter was really enjoying this slice of watermelon outside on their deck.
I used parts of a collection I love and was hanging on to the last few pieces and got them all to work on this. Plus the watermelon die-cuts I have had a hoard from a swap from many many years ago
so these pictures were perfect to start using some of them.
I'll be entering this layout at "USE YOUR STUFF" their challenge #401 Summer Fun was perfect to go with this layout because like the card says, a slice of summer and watermelon is true summer
treat to me.
Happy Summer! Oh can you feel the heat and bask in the sunshine!
We want to see your sunny summery project for this challenge..show us your SUMMER FUN!
