Fun With Dad

I've been working in my makeshift craft area these last couple of weeks at my brothers house.
I'm there helping take care of my Dad but I just came home today for the week and now trying to catch up on some blog posts of layouts I made this week for some challenges.   This one I'll enter in two different challenges.    First I used a Sketch at  "SKETCH N SCRAP"  its their NSD 2020 sketch, I had to rotate it to work with the pictures I had printed and with me.   Then I'm also using this layout at "LASTING MEMORIES" For 3 Things - Week 1  Challenge #496.   I had to used Polka Dot paper, flowers and stickers,  My embellishments are flowers, I have polka dots on two of my patterned papers and then two different alpha stickers.

Here are the links for the challenges.

LM #496 - 3 Things - Week 1

Hello, hello! Happy day after National Scrapbook Day! Are you making it a scrappy weekend? I sure hope that you are finding a little time to get scrappy this weekend!
It's time for a new theme and a new set of challenges here at Lasting Memories. For the month of May, we will be giving you a list of 3 things that must be included on your layout. How much or how little you use of each item is up to you. You can also use other things that are not on the list, but you must include the required 3 things. Our first challenge is:

LM #496 - 3 Things -
Polka dot/dotted patterned paper
flowers (can be a paper or an embel

One Cute Chick

Because of the Coronavirus I wasn't able to be with my granddaughter over Easter but I did get to FaceTime with the family during her egg hunt and they sent me lots of pictures so it all turned out good.  I'm just getting around to scrapping this years Easter layouts and this is one featuring Elle.

I'm entering this at  "THE STUDIO CHALLENGE"  for the May 3rd Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.
I used diagonal line of  Stitching, Triangle and Tag.

Donuts

My stepdaughter and family always have a ski trip up in Vermont around Christmas time during the kids winter break.    They usually always got to Boston during the trip too.   One of their favorite stops there is Mike's Pastry Shop and this last year on Dec. 26th, Avery's birthday they stoped there
to pick up a box of special donuts to start the celebration for the day.

For this layout I was inspired by this weeks sketch at  "SKETCHES IN THYME"  I always hesitate working with a circle photo but I found that this one worked perfect of Avery holding the box of donuts on her birthday and then the main picture is the whole family.

Here is the sketch and I can't wait to see what you create.

FaceTime

I have been trying hard to keep up with challenges and sketches the last couple of weeks. I have been spending Monday through Friday at my brothers and then back home for weekends.   My Dad is 96 and got sick (not Covid) so I've been helping my brother take care of him.   Until Covid hit he has been living alone at his own house but my brother decided it was safer to bring him to his house in early May and just stay there and then none of us had to go to a different town to visit and shop for him.  He could just stay in with my brother and be safer and its been working out great till he got sick the first of last week, but this week has been much better.   Plus this week my brother set up a large scrapping area for me so I took a bunch of papers and such with me when I went back last Monday and got to scrap this week.

For my layout of my granddaughter on Story Time FaceTime with her teacher I used Sketch #200
at  "SKETCH N SCRAP"   it was perfect for the single horizontal picture.
Here is the sketch and link to "SKETCH N SCRAP".  Be sure and check out all their challenges this month.   It is also their 8th Birthday month.
