Making Lollies

This is probably my last layout for May but I made it count and I can use it for two different challenges.

"LASTING MEMORIES"  -  Circles    (I have one big circle and then 7 smaller circles around the layout in different places.)

LM #397 - Variety of Shapes - Circles

Hello, everyone! Happy Sunday to you all! I hope you are having a good weekend.

We are back today with our last challenge for May. Our theme this month has been - Variety of Shapes - and our last challenge of the month is:

LM #397 - Circles - use one or more circles on your layout

"USE YOUR STUFF" -   Washi Tape   (I have 3 strips of washi tape, two of the potty people across layout under the picture and the vertical stripe of green striped washi tape.)

Challenge 313-Washi Tape

The challenge this week is to use Washi tape on your project.  For this challenge use at least two different pieces of Washi tape on your project.  For my project, I use my enormous Washi stash to decorate my planner spread for the week.  I was able to use three different rolls on this spread, two of which had never been used before.

So, pull out your Washi tape stash and let's see the creative ways that you choose to use Washi tape.  Don't forget to link up your project when you are done.

Let's Go

The kids are back on a week trip to NY to see Jason's parents.    Leslie posted the obligatory picture of Elle looking at the safety brochure,  this is here 3rd or 4th flight and she always loves to look at all these pictures.   Plus this time she added this picture of Elle looking out the window at the clouds along the way.

Having two pictures in the plane made it work perfect to use with the Sixth Birthday Bash Sketch #3
at   "SKETCH N SCRAP"

Our Wedding Day

My niece lives in Sydney, Australia (center in the picture) and about 4 years ago she and her partner had a marriage ceremony but it was not recognized in Australia as a legal marriage until legislation passed marriage equality early this year.   So in April they had a private wedding ceremony back in the same park where all their family and friends had gathered for their first ceremony.   They are now legally married.   And they celebrated with their son they now have, my nephew Silas.

For this layout I used the prompt at  "LASTING MEMORIES"   I think this was the last challenge for the month I still had to complete for the Variety of Shapes challenges for the month.  This challenge
#395 is Triangles.       I just used one large triangle on this layout, although I guess since I had it stretch all the way across the page I actually have a total of 3 triangles.

Here is the link to    "LASTING MEMORIES"

LM #395 - Use one or more triangles on your layout.

Project Life plants

I had the top row of my next Project Life page finished the first of the week but then I decided to go ahead and finish it and start a new page beginning with the Memorial Day festivities.    So since I got two new plants on Tuesday  all my flowers are now in place for the year so I thought I would showcase so of them that I hadn't scrapped before and finish this PL page.

I'm going to enter this at the E2N#15 challenge ...  New Growth at   "SOUL SCRAPPERS"
The challenge is to scrap "new growth"  "Spring has Bloomed"  and I think thesis pictures show that perfectly.   All my flowers plus Spring rains to make everything bloom.

Lake Fun 1996

I found these old pictures of when we had a condo at the Lake of the Ozarks for several years.  We use to go down about every other weekend.    This was one weekend in 1996.  I wanted to make it because it has pictures of our best friends ever (both have since passed) our son and daughter and our son's best friend.   Plus pictures in our boats and our wave runner and our friends wave runner.
We always had so much fun.

Now this weekend we will be doing the same thing.  Now I live in a house on the lake and with my husband of the past 11 years and his son and family will be coming down to join us for the lake weekend.   And again I'll be out in our boat and we have a wave runner and our son has one here too.
A great way to spend Memorial Day weekend.   Plus after this weekend will be able to scrap new "Lake Fun" pictures.

I used the sketch at   "SOUL SCRAPPERS"  for this layout.

Succulents

This year I discovered I love succulents.   I planted the inside one my self and then I bought another one for outside.   Plus I bought one for my Dad one for his patio also.   I just love them.

It is about to be a busy upcoming holiday weekend so I want to jump right in and make sure I got to use the newest sketch #326 at  "SKETCHES IN THYME"    I've been working so hard lately on layouts of all the grandkids I decided I finally had to take a break and make something for my own albums so I thought...I love succulents so I should make sure I document the two I have now and then I'll see where I started in case I decide to keep adding more.

The Mustang

When I first saw sketch #325 at  "SKETCHES IN THYME"  I was intimidated.   I never know what to do about circles, but I had this great series of pictures and decided to use them and cut the two into circles and I'm really pleased with the result.    I just used red cardstock as my background to go with the cars interior and then do everything else with black and white.   I didn't have all the white Thickers alphas I needed so I used silver although in this picture they look more gold, in person they look so much better.  I decided to add a tag to the sketch for my journaling plus that gave me a spot of solid black and just matted the tag in white again and used white bakers twine to know it and journaled in white gel ink and I think it all ties together.    The car is a new old car my brother just bought.  Growing up in our teens this was the car we both drove a 1966 white mustang with red interior.  We have both always said we wanted another one and finally found it.   I'll be at his house tomorrow and can't wait to ride in it.   Oh and the little one checkin it out is my granddaughter.
(I'm jealous she got to get in it before I did)  LOL

Here is the sketch and link to  "SKETCHES IN THYME"

Build

I love the concentration of my nephews face Silas playing with his building blocks.    I decided that
the challenge at  "LASTING MEMORIES"  was  perfect for this picture.
This month the challenge is all about shapes and the lastest challenge is to use Hexagons.
I have a hexagon patterned paper and then I cut some hexagons out too and added them as embellishments.

Here is the link and info about this challenge at  "LASTING MEMORIES"

LM #396 -Variety of Shapes - Hexagons

Happy Sunday! I hope that you are having a good weekend.

Are you ready for a new challenge? Our theme for May has been - Variety Of Shapes - and this week our challenge is:

LM #396 - use one or more hexagons on your layout

Hi

I needed a card to send to my Dad so the card sketch #122 at  "SKETCH N SCRAP"  was just the right design for a "Hello" card.    I'll write in it today and get it dropped into the mail for him.
I like sending him surprise cards every now and then besides just holiday cards.  He will be 95 next month and still lives at the house I grew up with him.   I go see him every couple of weeks but sending cards is always nice pick me up too.

Here is the sketch and link to   "SKETCH N SCRAP"    you have until May 31st to enter any of the challenges for May.

Wonderful Elle

I tried so hard to get a picture of Elle in this outfit after breakfast the last time I was with her a couple of weeks and before she headed out for day care.  But now that she is walking getting her to stop for a picture is not always easy.   This outfit with the little net tutu just cracked me up.  Mom and Dad agreed this would be the last time she would be able to wear this shirt, her little belly kept "peaking out"  but the shirt matched her pants and the bow on the tutu so it had to be worn today.  So now it is all documented.

I used the  "SKETCH N SCRAP"  Birthday Bash sketch #2.   I used the Bo Bunny Primrose collection for this and then added the wooden title and wooden butterfly tag.

Here is the sketch and the link to  "SKETCH N SCRAP"

You have until May 31st at 9:55 to play along with all the great challenges on their blog and also on their FB page for the birthday bash.     There are 3 great prizes also to make it even more interesting.

Charleston

A rainy weekend, our boat needs a service call so this is the weekend to stay inside and scrap.
Plus this family above is coming next weekend and I want to get as many layouts finished of them as I can for them to take home with them.   This is the last I had to make of their spring break trip this last March.

I used the new Tic-Tack Toe challenge at   "THE STUDIO CHALLENGES"   I went on the diagonal top right to lower left,   Circle, Blue and Heart

Here is the link to the challenge and the tic-tac-toe board to work with.   So many fun choices.

Mothers Day 2018

I totally forgot to get pictures of my daughter and myself while we were together on Mothers Day but luckily my daughter-in-law didn't forget to get pictures with her kids so I did have pictures to use for a Mothers Day layout.   I love that I got to use this PL card too on the layout.

I'll enter this at   "USE YOUR STUFF"  Challenge #311 - For the Moms.

Challenge #311 - For the Moms

It's Amanda here with this week's challenge.
This week in honour of Mother's Day we are celebrating the moms,

My latest Project Life page

The 2nd May sketch is out at "SKETCHES IN THYME PROJECT LIFE STYLE" and I had most of my latest page finished but I was going to add a picture from todays Royal Wedding for my one empty pocket left.   Then when I saw the sketch #102 yesterday  I thought I could use it perfectly with my yet to be printed wedding picture.     I made my card using the sketch and then added my picture this morning.

Here is the link to  "SKETCHES IN THYME PROJECT LIFE STYLE"  and the sketch I used and after that I have added my full PL page.

Cruise Dinner

I've been having fun this month with all the regular challenges at  "SKETCH N SCRAP"  and also their Birthday Bash challenges on Facebook.    So I was justing waiting for the next sketch to be announced.    That is what I did this layout using sketch #153.

Here is the link and sketch from  "SKETCH N SCRAP"

Family

This is the family picture the kids had taken on their cruise over Spring Break in March.   They had a great time and I've scrapped a lot of pictures from their trip, but mostly of the kids.   So I'm really gad I can scrap this one now of all of them.

I will enter this at  "LASTING MEMORIES"  for one of their March Variety of Shapes challenges.
This is for Challenge #394 - Hearts.

Our theme for this month is "Variety of Shapes" and this week we are working with hearts.

LM #394 - Use one or more hearts on your layout

I love Malette

I'm playing along with  "LET'S GET SKETCHY"  and they are partnering up with a challenge in May at  "PAPER ISSUES FANS & FRIENDS"  with the sketch i used here for this layout.
I did rotate the sketch because the picture I wanted to used was a vertical picture.

Here is the link and sketch at  "LET'S GET SKETCHY"   this was the May 1st sketch and they had another sketch revealed today, the 15th.  I love playing along with their sketches, always so good and now I've done both of them today.

OLAF

I did my take on sketch #323 at  "SKETCHES IN THYME''  for this layout.  Instead of the big star on the sketch, I did a big heart for all the hugging the grandkids did when they saw Olaf at one of their stops on their Disney Cruise a couple of months ago.

Here is the sketch and link to  "SKETCHES IN THYME"

Otis and Elle

My daughter and son-in-law have 3 big dogs and they are all so good and patient with Elle.   But Otis is the calmest of them all.   This last weekend Otis was running in the backyard and Elle took off to follow him and he calmly laid down so she could sit with him and pet him.    So glad we got these cute pictures of them together.

I'm going to enter this layout in two different challenges.    First off I used the May 15th sketch at
LET'S GET SKETCHY"   and then the Golden Globe inspired challenge at   "SCRAP OUR STASH"

First here is the sketch and link to  "LET'S GET SKETCHY"

Then the May Golden Globe Inspired challenge at  "SCRAP OUR STASH"  Lion King was the movie and you had to make your layout about a pet and also use an animal embellishment or paper with animals on it.  I have a stamped image of dog in a dog house and also two dog bones photo corners on my layout.

Tree Swing

Addisyn is just the sweetest little girl and I'm so glad her Mom loves taking her picture because then I get to make all kinds of layouts for them.   It's even better that Addisyn is all excited every time I see her to see what new layouts of the family I've made for them.

For this layout and new pictures just a day old I used Sketch #152 at   "SKETCH N SCRAP"
The sketch was only for 2 pictures but I had to use all of these pictures.

Here is the link to the blog   "SKETCH N SCRAP"   so you can check out all the monthly challenge, two layouts and 2 card sketches per month.

Princess time

I only had 4 pictures of my granddaughters on princess night on their Disney Cruise in March.
So I decided to just use the right side of the May 1st  sketch at     "LET'S SCRAP"     It was perfect
for these pictures.   I loved seeing the pictures of the girls all dressed up as a princess and having so much fun, plus a good picture with Mom and Dad too.

Here is the link to the challenge and the sketch    "LET'S SCRAP."

1st Dental Visit

Been waiting for a sketch to use these 3 pictures with and this sketch #324 at  "SKETCHES IN THYME"  was the perfect fit.   I pulled out some different Jillibean Soup papers that I had left from a couple of collections and they went together fine.  I was even able to cut the tags from them.   Then mixed a couple of alphas and one little circle empherma and I was set.

Here is the sketch and link to  "SKETCHES IN THYME".

SPRING

I went to my Dad's house a couple of weeks ago to go flower shopping with him and then help him plant the flowers.    Before we left I noticed how beautiful the tree in front of his house was so I wanted to get a picture.   Got one good close up and one picture including the house.   This is the house my Mom and Dad had built and we moved into when I was 2 years old.   My Dad who will be 95 next month still lives there.  That means he will have lived there for 65 years  (yes I just told you my age).   Not to many people can stay in there home that long and nowadays there are very few "kids" that can go back home at this age.  The only house I ever knew growing up.

I used the sketch at  "ROCHELLE SPEARS SCRAPBOOKING"  for this layout plus I used the Mood board at  " USE YOUR STUFF"  and the  Theme Challenge at   "THE RUBBER BUGGY"

Here is all the links and information you need about the challenge.

"ROCHELLE SPEARS SCRAPBOOKING"  I loved using this sketch, I love the feel of it.
This will be one of the sketches I will keep to use another time.

"USE YOUR STUFF"  I took inspiration from the Mood Board with the Pink colors, the flowers and then the soft fabric of the dress with the fabric flowers I added to my layout.

"THE RUBBER BUGGY BLOG"    The theme challenge for May was Mothers Day or feminine and to make anything you want.  I think my patterned papers and colors, the pink ric-rak bow on the tag and the scenery in my pictures are all feminine

Breakfast with Elle

I went right to work on the 2nd challenge at the "Sketch N Scrap" 6th Birthday Bash.     I usually don't wake up when I visit the kids and see Elle before they take off for work and take her to day care.   But while I was there last week I told Leslie to be sure and wake me up this time.   Sure glad she did because I got some great pictures of breakfast.   She had already finished a piece of toast and cheese this morning and then topped it off with this banana...which she loved.

The twist to this challenge was to use the sketch and the word celebrate somewhere on the layout.
I have it in my journaling.   Here is the link to the blog   "SKETCH N SCRAP"

Come On Down to My Boat Baby

I hated not to spend the entire day scrapping yesterday on NSD, but..... we have been waiting for over a month for the water level to go up and be able to get our boat out and off the lift at our dock.
No more worries after this as dock is getting extended 10 ft in a few weeks so no worries next spring.
But finally yesterday afternoon the water was totally up and out we went.   We hadn't been out since last October so it was so great to go back out and just relax and enjoy the sun and the views.
So even if I wasn't scrapping I got pictures to scrap today.

I used the sketch at  "SKETCH N SCRAP"  for this layout.  This was the first sketch for their 6th Birthday Bash Crop going on all month.   Besides the sketch there is also a twist, and that is to use 6 items on your layout that is over 2 years old,  I have my stamped image tag, the square brad on it,  the bling at the bottom of the page, the two little journaling tags, my alphas for the title and the 3 square gold bling.

Here is the sketch and link to "SKETCH N SCRAP BLOG"

Hello Manatee

Still scrapping away for NSD.   Been so busy doing layouts getting ready for the day and I'm loving every minute of it.

I used the sketch at   "SKETCH N SCRAP"   for  NSD 2018.   I really loved working with this and trying to get all the papers together and all the angles laid out and working for everything.

I used a couple of pictures from my granddaughters trip to Florida and visit with her Papa Don.   They were out and about all the time, I'm not sure who was having more fun, Elle, Papa Don or her Mom and Dad.   They didn't see any Manatees at Manatee Lagoon, but looks like they still had fun.
Sure glad there were sea turtles in the picture wall because I had fun cutting these turtles with my cricut.   First time I had made any.

Here is the sketch and then the link to "SKETCH N SCRAP"  and check all the fun things goin on this month.
