Winter Sledding

I wasn't sure if I would try this sketch at "LASTING MEMORIES"  when I first saw it, but today I decided to go for it and I'm really glad I did.   Used up some PL cards and also was able to cut into some scraps of snow paper for some of the background papers.   I'll probably be keeping this sketch to use again now.

Alley Spring

I made this layout today for the "CHALLENGE YOURSELF" February romantic color challenge #98.    I tried to pick all  my papers using the color palette.   My top happened to match one color so I added this with the mat on my picture.

Let It Snow

We had a big 10 inch snow just over a week ago (and its snowing again today).   My granddaughter went out to help her Dad shovel the snow.   He took the first picture of her starting out, then the 2nd picture with her back covered in snow I got a screen shot off the video Mom took while Dad was using the snowblower and Elle was getting covered in snow.   Needless to say a snowball fight became part of the fun.    And they did get the driveway cleaned too.

I used sketch #243 at "SKETCH N SCRAP"  for this layout.   It was fun to play around with this sketch.

5th Birthday

Our granddaughter Elle had been exposed to Covid at her pre-school so she was in quarantine.   Even though she had no symptoms and had a negative test Mom and Dad decided it was safer to not have the family over on her birthday for presents and cake.    We all dropped off presents earlier in the day and cake was delivered to us later.     But best of all Thanks to Portal we got to celebrate with her virtually and see her open her gifts and blow out her candles,  even some grandparents in NY and FL.   Technology is great.

I used the new challenge at  "SCRAP OUR STASH"  that just came out today.    You had a sketch to use and the prompt to used 5 or more different Patterned Papers.   I managed to use 6 different ones.    I will be saving the sketch as it was a fun one to work with.

Make Time For Happy

I used the new challenge, Sketch #505 at  "SKETCHES IN THYME"  for this layout.   Always fun to try something different and put your pictures and everything on an angle.

Chinese New Years

Chinese New Year is also celebrated by any Asian culture and my grandkids Mom is Vietnamese so they always celebrate.    They had relatives and friends over to celebrate with them.    There is a special betting game they always play during their celebration.   So I have picture of that and also the decor Susan set up in her home.  I think it is beautiful.

I used the latest sketch at "SKETCHES IN THYME"  Sketch #504 created by Shawn Lahr.

We All Drove

I've been slowly trying to organize a bunch of old pictures that are just in photo boxes.   I was so happy when I found a group of pictures from a trip we took as a full family to the Lake of the Ozarks and rented a house boat  (back when the lake wasn't full of huge boats and it was safe to be out cruising in a houseboat)

I will be entering this at  "SCRAP OUR STASH"  challenge blog for the Wheel of Challenges - Alphas.    My title is We All Drove and I used 3 different type of alphas.   Plus I have other styles of alphas all over my page.

Black Belt

I made this double page layout today using the Sketch #242 at  "SKETCH N SCRAP"  it's a single page sketch as seen below.    The right side mimics the sketch but the left hand page I rotated the sketch to use it with vertical pictures.

Our granddaughter in Orlando earned her black belt in Taekwondo a couple of weeks ago.    Then she and her best Martial Arts friends that also earned their belts went to her home for a homemade pizza party and celebration.   Our daughter always does the best parties for anything so I wanted to include pictures of the goodies and some of the decorations she had up.    So it took a double layout.

Gifts Were Given

Looking through Christmas albums I saw that I really didn't make a lot of layouts for Christmas 2020.     I keep chronological albums of Christmas only so I wanted to add more where I could,   last week I had found some old pictures from the 1970's and worked on those and today this is my 2nd layout I've made from 2020.      For this layout I used the 2 Scrappy Girls Challenges.

First is the sketch from   "THROUGH THE EYES OF ROCHELLE SPEARS SCRAPBOOKING"

Next I used the Tic-Tac-Toe Board at  "SCRAP WITH STACY"  I used the bottom row across,  2 photos, Gold and Chipboard (the Gifts were given chipboard tag between the photos).

Family Time

Love the start of a new month and all the new challenges to play along with.    Today I used the sketch by Rochelle Spears to start the weekly challenges for the month at  "SKETCHES IN THYME."     This was a great sketch to work with and except for my background sheet I used all the different floral scraps and such I could pull out.   Sitting here with 7" of snow on the ground and still coming down I wanted to scrap using flowers and an old picture from the spring 1992, with me, my Mom and Dad and 3 of their 4 grandkids.   I just love this picture.

Here is the sketch I used and the link to   "SKETCHES IN THYME"    Sketch #503
