I made these two double page layouts today from postcards I bought of all the states were going through on our Route 66. The placement on the cards worked out perfect because of car trouble with the vintage 1966 Mustang we drove on our trip, we only made it half way through Oklahoma before we had to cancel the rest of the trip and have a friend come and get us with a trailer and tow the Mustang back home.
The journaling on my 2nd double page layout tells that part of the story and how we will finish these states as soon as we can get the time to take off again.
These layouts also worked out great for the new challenge today at "LASTING MEMORIES" the last challenge there for May is to use something blue on your layout. I picked a blue card stock for the background of my layouts to go with the blue background of the postcards I was going to be using.
LM #600 - Wedding Inspiration - Something Blue
Hello, everyone! Welcome back to Lasting Memories! May is flying by and it is already time for our last challenge of the month. We hope that you have enjoyed our wedding inspiration challenges this month.
Before we get to the last challenge of the month, I want to thank our two talented guest designers for joining us this month - Amy Jo and Cheryl. I have loved seeing their layouts for each of the challenges and hope that they continue to play along with us.
For the month of May we have been following the lines of the wedding rhyme - Something old, something new, something borrowed...and that brings us to this week's challenge:
LM #600 - Something Blue - use something blue on your layout.
