CRUISE

 Here is the layout for the welcome aboard photo from our recent cruise to Alaska.    I used the mood board  and challenge #806 at "LASTING MEMORIES"  on this layout.

Goodbye to this Cruise

 

Today I'm saying goodbye to the challenges at  "SCRAP  CHALLENGE YOURSELF" this month is their final challenge,and they will be missed by many, including me as they were what really pushed me to make more layouts that included pictures of myself.

The final challenge #150 is to do a layout about "Saying Goodbye" and this layout will be the final layout in the scrapbook that I am working on for our cruise to Hawaii this last March.    Then a last photo of our ship from the pier as we walked away and and finally a picture of hubby and me on the shuttle taking us to the airport for our flight home.

But no worries, I get to say hello to another cruise the end of this month as we start a week long cruise to Alaska.

Chess Tournament

 

I made this layout this morning of our grandson at the Missouri Chess Championship.    The challenge #802 at  "LASTING MEMORIES"  worked perfectly for me because the challenge was shapes and I chose to use squares as my shape and cut out black & white squares to make the look of a chess board as part of the background for my layout.    Gibson is a freshman in high school and he won 5th place for the state in his age group.   So very proud of him, he is self taught and loves the game so much.

Marathon Tradition

 

I made this layout today for the Scrappy Friends June challenges.    Used this sketch from  "ROCHELLE SPEARS SCRAPBOOKING BLOG"   and I did the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge at "SCRAP WITH STACY"    I did the diagonal Twine/Ribbon, Circle and Banner.

Let's Eat Breakfast

 

Going to be working hard this month on pictures from our Hawaii cruise we took in March.  This was my breakfast my first morning on board.  I order this breakfast several times every cruise.  I just love it.

I'm entering this at   "LASTING MEMORIES"     for challenge #801 - The Middle, everything is down the middle of my layout.

Bike to Work

 

My son-in-law never ceases to amaze me.    He sent these pictures to me one morning from work to show me his mode of travel to work that day.    He loves to ride his bike and does so most everyday to work at the University but I would have thought with the snow on the ground and snow coming down this morning, he would have taken his car, but no, he still decided for his bike.

I used the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge #798 at  "LASTING MEMORIES"  for this layout.   I used the top row across,   3 Word Title, Chipboard and Patterned Paper.
