Our Grandkids

I ran out of one color for my photo printer and the replacement cartridge won't be here until tomorrow so for the last few days I've had to pull out old photos printed long ago to make layouts.

I used this photo of my parents and my two kids in front and my nephew Dad is holding.   We were all together for Christmas 1989 at our house, including both of my grandmothers, so in all we had four generations together.

I used  "ROCHELLE SPEARS" December sketch for this layout.    Then combined it with the tic-tac-toe challenge at  "SCRAP WITH STACY."    I went on the angle left to right Twine/Ribbon - Plaid - Tag.

Santa and his (her) Elf

My husband and I took a day and evening trip back to Kansas City to see all the special Christmas places we use to go to when we lived there.     One stop was at Union Station and they have really added on to one area for Christmas with all kinds of places for photo ops and once was this little place to place your face as Santa and his elf.   I'm sure it was more for the kids but I couldn't resist.

I'm entering this at "CHALLENGE YOURSELF" with the December challenge of Anything Goes as long as you have a picture of yourself.

Elephant Rocks

A whole layout with pictures of only me.   Will miracles never cease.     Nov. 7th we took a road trip for the day.   It was the perfect fall day and we were gone from 8:30 until 5:00, only got home then because I had to babysit my granddaughter at 7:00.   I've lived in Missouri practically all my life and there were two places I had never been, Meramac Springs and Elephant Rocks and we saw them both today.   So glad I chose these places for our road trip.   The colors were still beautiful in southern Missouri and the weather was mid 70's, what else could you ask for in November.

Im used the page map sketch for " SCRAP CHALLENGE YOURSELF"   to make this layout for their November challenge #119.

Beautiful Granddaughter

I thought the sketch for November at "ROCHELLE SPEARS BLOG" was perfect for this fantastic picture of my granddaughter who just turned 14.

I also combined it with "SCRAPPING WITH STACY" and her Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge.  I did the diagonal... One Photo, Corner Rounder and Enamel Shapes.

Mach 1

I flew down to Texas with my brother to pick up his new Mach 1 that he bought at a dealership there, he was looking for this exact color and this is where he found it.     We had a great but fast trip.   Our flight left at 5:20 a.m. one morning and the next evening at 5:30 we were back home in Missouri.   So a 36 hour road trip for us.

I made the layout to give to my brother for his album I add too.    It works perfectly for the first challenge for October at "LASTING MEMORIES".

LM #670 - As Time Goes By - Something New

LM #670 - Create a layout about something new: new school. new job , new car, new born child, etc. Add one or more journal spots.

Pumpkin Fun Run

I made this double page layout using a collection I just got as a gift.   It's an old Doodlebug collection called "Candy Carnival, but it's brand new to me as of last week.    The colors worked great for these pictures of my granddaughter Elle doing a Fun Run,  ten days ago.   This is her Halloween costume, the Pink Troll, her favorite Troll.

It works perfectly for the latest  "LASTING MEMORIES"  Challenge #673 = New Stash

LM #673 - use something that's new in your craft stash: a new dye, punch, paper, etc.

Chess

Our grandkids in St. Louis love to play chess and join clubs and play in different tournaments,  in this one they both one a trophy for their age group.

I'm using this for the challenge at  "LASTING MEMORIES"  Challenge #67   -   Family Sports and Hobbies.

LM #672 - Scrapbook something sporty or a hobby you or your family like to pursue.
