My Helper

I knew my daughter and son-in-law were going to paint the inside of their closet and put in a new shelf but when I saw this picture she sent me all I could think was "this is an accident waiting to happen on their new carpet".   But it all worked out fine, no spilled paint and Elle, my granddaughter got to do what she likes best.....anything her Dad does she wants to do.   LOL

I'm running behind this month, its been a hard month with the death of my Dad two weeks ago, but when I can scrap I find it very therapeutic.     I used the Scrappy Friends double challenge for this layout and it was fun combining everything.

"THROUGH THE EYES OF ROCHELLE SPEARS"  this sketch.

and then "SCRAP WITH STACY"  her tic-tac-toe board challenge.    I did the center row across,   Chipboard, Hearts and a Doily.

Mothers Day Spa Day

Our granddaughters in Orland treated their Mom on Mothers Day to breakfast in bed and then a special at home spa day for her.   So fun and so special.

Just had a couple of pictures I hadn't scrapped yet for Christmas but this was a profile picture of my grandkids and their Mom for last Christmas and one I had yet to scrap so printed it this morning for
the newest challenge #512 at  "LASTING MEMORIES"   It was fun going back and scrapping a Christmas layout in the heat of August.

Virtual School Start

My grandkids in Texas school year started on Thursday, at least for the next 4 weeks its all virtual then they will evaluate if the schools will open.    Mylan is starting 5th grade and last year in elementary school and Kai is a Freshman this year.   A hard way to start High School but I know they will work it out just fine and get it done.

I'm using one of they layouts at   "LASTING MEMORIES"  for their challenge #511

GROW

I was looking through old pictures on my computer today to find something to use for the latest layout sketch at  "SKETCH N SCRAP"  and saw this picture of the two coleus we planted in a pot on April 21st, exactly 4 months ago.    Yesterday my hubby and I were just talking about how huge the coleus had grown this summer on our front porch.   So I went out front and took a new picture of it today and then printed it and the old picture to make this layout.    Bonus is now I have a new layout to add to our album as mostly I'm scrapping pictures of the grand kids and they all end up going to them and not staying here.

Here is the link to "SKETCH N SCRAP"  so you can check out all of August challenges, 2 layout sketches and 2 card sketch and have fun creating.   Below is the sketch I just used.

LOST

Elle, you are such a loving person.   Your Mom and Dad found this dog wandering around in the neighborhood with no person around and looking very hot.   So they picked him up and brought him home and gave him water while they called the phone numbers on his tag.    His owner was found but before they showed up you got to make sure he got all the loving he needed.  You weren't sad at all that your "new friend" had to leave, because you were so happy and kept telling us all that he was home with his family now where he belonged.   I love your compassion.

I used the August 15th sketch at "SCRAP OUR STASH CHALLENGE BLOG"   Here is the sketch

Cherish Today

Still working on some pictures of my nephews that live in Australia.   They are just so adorable when they wear some matching clothes.

I used the August sketch at "LET'S GET SKETCHY" for this layout, a super fun sketch to work with.
