Swing

I had so much fun working with sketch #99 at  "THE MEMORY NEST"   I wanted to try and pull together a lot of colors together and see how they works and I think I did.  Using a lot pulled from the picture, green, yellow, pink, orange and blue.

This is a picture of my youngest granddaughter and her first time in a baby swing at the park.   It looks like she was enjoying it.

Here is the sketch and the link to  "THE MEMORY NEST"   I hope you will join us for this challenge.   This is the next to last sketch toward the drawing of the Fall Frenzy challenge to win a $25 Gift Certificate.    Make sure you notice that this sketch works perfectly for two pictures also.
The 2nd picture would go where I have the green paper with the wood veneer.   But I decided I just wanted to use a single picture.

Christmas Card time is here

I had two challenges I'm combining while making this Christmas card.   First a sketch challenge at
"4 CRAFTY CHICKS"   and then a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge at "THE PAPER PLAYERS".
Below are the links and sketch and tic-tac-toe board.

"4 CRAFTY CHICKS"
"THE PAPER PLAYERS"  I used the left column tree, Christmas and silver/gold  (gold washi tape)

Christmas card

I made this simple Christmas card while being inspired by the November card sketch at
"STICK IT DOWN"

Here is the sketch and link to  "STICK IT DOWN"

I am also going to enter my car at  "SCRAPPING 4 FUN CHALLENGES"  Challenge #102 - Anything Goes challenge.      You can click on the name above to go to the challenge you have till Thursday Nov. 9th to enter and can enter up to 4 entries.

Trim the Tree

Between making layouts I'm trying to get started on making some Christmas cards.
For this card I used the prompt at  "SOUTHERN GIRLS"   The prompt is It's a Stick Up.
You had to use stickers or anything with a sticky backside.    My length of lights was a border
sticker, the sentiment is a sticker and then I added 3 sticker Christmas trees.   So all stickers/sticky backside except my paper, which became pretty sticky after all the glue I put on it.  LOL

Here is the link to  "SOUTHERN GIRLS"

And as alway the Fun-Day Friday Challenge #213 at   "J0'S SCRAP SHACK"  is anything goes.
So I will enter my card here also.

Celebrating Halloween

Halloween was never a big holiday in Australia but has become more popular lately with so many
ex-pats living there now, including my niece.    She so missed the holiday when she moved there but now is enjoying it with her son.   This was his first year to go trick-or-treating and they sure did it up big in the neighborhood with so many people dressing up and handing out candy.

I am going to enter this layout in two different challenges.   First at  "BITTEN BY THE BUG"
They are having a cricut word challenge and I hate that in my title.

Next is the challenge #327 at "SHOPPING OUR STASH" with the prompt Halloween and this is definitely a Halloween layout.  and I used a lot of things in my stash when I made the layout.

Here are the links and challenges

"BITTEN BY THE BUG"

CRICUT WORD CHALLENGE I chose a very general challenge theme - use any of the many Cricut words on your project.  This leaves your project choices wide open! You can do something for Halloween or another holiday, or branch out to anything your creativity can come up with!

Halloween      Happy Halloween from the Shopping Our Stash crew!!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out our latest challenge.

Today we want to see all your ghosts, ghouls, goblins, witches, pumpkins...anything Halloween related.

Carving Pumpkins

I just love getting all the Fall and Halloween inspired pictures of all the Grandkids.   These are from this last weekend of the kids in St. Louis with them carving their own pumpkins.

I used an old saved sketch from years ago and then the inspiration from  "USE YOUR STUFF"
Which I used a lot of, from 2 different collections of papers and then some scraps from my Halloween and Fall paper stash, plus from my stash of Halloween embellishments.

Here is the link to challenge #286 at  "USE YOUR STUFF"  and the challenge.

UYS # 286 - Halloween!!

TAKE ME

When Leslie sent me this picture in a text message I knew it would be cute for a fall layout.
I had the perfect sketch waiting to use from   "THE STUDIO CHALLENGE"  because I knew I
could use little leaves around it for embellishments.

Here is the sketch and the link to the "THE STUDIO CHALLENGE"  entries for both challenges this month on Nov. 5th.
