MY BFF

I just love this sweet picture of my granddaughter Mylan.   It seems like she always has these animals with her all the time now.   Thats the fox in front but also in there is Leo the Dog.

Happy Birthday Silas

These are pictures of Silas loving on the soft doggy that his Grandpa   AKA Bam-Bam  bought for one of his gifts on his first birthday.      I just love how he is looking at and hugging it.
But what I really love is that in one of the picture they got a great shot of him in the mirror too.

Since I had two pictures to scrap I was drawn to the NSD sketch at   "SKETCH-N-SCRAP"
It was perfect to scrap these two together and show the hug and smile.

Engagement recap

I have looked at this 5-1-16 sketch at  "LET'S SCRAP"  everyday since it was posted.    I just couldn't decide how to do any of it.   I kept drawing blanks.    Then finally this morning when I looked at it again I thought of this one pad of paper I have.      A stack of Mambi papers that has lots of pages full of quotes and large sayings.    One sheet I have used as the cover of an album but I keep trying to think of other uses as they don't usually do well with sketches and I love working with sketches.

So I pulled out the stack and started looking through it and came upon two pages of all white card stock background ,  one had the words on my left page all running down the side of the paper and the other had the saying across the bottom of the sheet.  

So I cut out the strips with just the saying and words from the full page and looked through the paper again and decided these  two pages of the metallic strips would work great with the colors on the words.

Then to go with the words and the saying "I (heart) the life we live.   I thought about some of the pictures I have of my daughter and her now husband and the trip they took where he had already made plans to ask her to marry him on the first day of their vacation, they had two days in Puerto Rico before they left on a cruise.    I thought these pictures went well with the saying.

1st Haircut

My great nephew Silas has had his first birthday about 6 weeks ago and now he has had his first haircut.   He is growing up so fast.    And since he and his Moms live in Australia I don't get to see in person until this Christmas.   I don't know what I would do without Facebook to see all his pictures over the past 14 months.

For this layout I chose the sketch at  "SKETCH-N-SCRAP"    It was perfect because I had 4 pictures from the haircut so I picked these 3 and made the layout.   He looks like such a little man now.

Ready Set & Go to London

This week I'm going to try and work more on our trip London and area back in 2006.   I've made a lot of pages about the trip but its fun to go back through the pictures and my album again and add to it.

I had this globe paper from the Shimelle Star Shine collection and it was perfect for layouts about this trip out of the US.  

The sketch I used for this layout was the Friday May 6th at  "SCRAP MUCH?"    I love that I got to use these 3 pictures.   My husband waiting at the train terminal, my brother pointing at the map where we want to go and then after we met up with my daughter and the map to start our walking tour.

Big Lap Dog

When I saw the sketch today at "LET'S GET SKETCHY"  I knew I had just the right pictures to use that I took this weekend of my daughter and one of her dogs.  I used bits and pieces from my stash from 4 different manufactures.   It was fun putting it all together and all the colors to go with the background paper.   The pictures were taken in two different rooms yesterday but I overlapped them like in the sketch and then just matted them to blend into one.
