Friendship Card

I made this friendship card using the prompt at     "SIMPLY CREATE TOO"    
Challenge #106 is to use a Purple and Green color combo.

The challenge just started and end April 15th so plenty of time to join in.

Father and Son

I just really loved the March sketch at "MY CREATIVE SKETCHES"  so since we can enter more than once.  I just made this second layout.    My brother posted this picture of he and Dad the other day on Facebook,  I know its a picture from a couple years ago but have no idea where it was taken.

Since it was posted in Black and White I decided to use all black and white papers and then throw in this pop of red to make it all stand out.

I needed coffee

My Monday started without a lot of sleep so when I went to work on my PL card for this reveal I made with coffee in mind because it was an early early morning for me and I knew there would be a lot of coffee consumed.

So check out  "SKETCHES IN THYME PL STYLE"   and join us this week (and every week) with the sketch to work on.   This great sketch is by Shawn Lahr and I really liked it.  I started with a store bought Pl card and then just built on top of it using the sketch.   Let's see what you can do.

Then & Now

This picture on the left was one of the first one posted after he was brought home from the hospital and I just love it.   Then 7 months later they staged the same picture again in the guitar case and basically in the same onsie also just so we could all see how much he was growing.

So this picture made me go to the piece of handmade mulberry background paper that I have been hoarding for almost 7 years now.   I thought it and just black and white was all I needed for this layout.

This is my reveal for the April Week #1 sketch at "SKETCHES IN THYME"   I hope a lot of you will join in on the challenge using this fun sketch by Shawn Lahr.

Together

One last layout to make for this month.    I used sketch #475 at   "SCRAPBOOK CHALLENGES"
for this layout.    This is my daughter and son-in-law on a long weekend trip back to DC for a visit with friends.    They were there for the height of cherry blossoms.

I love this picture,  it is actually a horizontal picture that I cropped to go with the sketch and my 4x6 card I used for a title.      I'm going to print the original picture and send it to my Dad as he loves getting new pictures of his grandkids and great grandkids.

Week 13 PL title card

I just finished my week 12 Project Life pages so I went ahead and got the title paid for this week.

There is really NOTHING going on here this week, so not sure what I'll fill 2 pages with but still had
to get the title page made.

I used the latest sketch at   "SKETCHES IN THYME PL STYLE"  its sketch #20.    I just rotated
 it to fit the pages I'm using for this week.

Still a few days to enter the challenge and try for the great prize in March.

I used the sketch #4 at   "PAPER PLAY SKETCHES"      it was a different sketch to work with.
I had the background card stock and patterned paper already on my desk from my scrap stash
I then found the other pieces in my stash of die-cuts and using the bird was perfect for my sentiment stamp which says Happy bird day to you.   Still 6 days to get your entry in so give it a try.
