Getting Ready for Valentines day
The last couple of days I've been working on all my valentine cards. Besides my hubby, I send to my kids, and grandkids and Dad. So have a variety to get made.
For this card I used the sketch at "DIE CUTTIN' DIVA'S" My cupid die cut worked perfect for this card. I've been doing a lot hearts of cards, so using this diecut was a fun change.
I will also enter the challenge at "THE PAPER GIRLS" challenge #97 Valentine/Love
I am also entering this in the "ALLSORTS CHALLENGE BLOG" Week #348 is "Bring on the Bling" and that is what I did with this card. I have a strip of hot pink bling going down the left side of the patterned paper and the on the right corners and a silver piece of bling on the tip of the arrow.
Happy early Valentines Day to everyone.

Another Valentine Card
I made this square Valentine card today. I don't usually do a lot of cards or layouts with a lot of white background. But I laid out some papers to use but decided I really liked the white card itself the best. I used the sketch #337 at "TUESDAY MORNING SKETCHES"
It was perfect for making another Valentine card. Plus I love this sketch so will definitely be keeping it and using it again.
Here is the sketch and click HERE for all the details.
Valentine card
I have already made a couple of Valentine cards but still have more to make. So I combined three challenges when making this card.
First I used the card sketch at "STICK IT DOWN", this is one of 3 monthly challenges there and then the tic-tac-toe wild card week challenge #328 at "JUST US GIRLS" and last but not least "THE PAPERS GIRLS" challenge #97 Valentine/Love they all combined with ease. Click the links to each site to see the details and enter.
Here is the sketch
And here is the tic-tac-toe board. I chose the 1st vertical row. Ribbon, Pearls & Layers.

Girl Scout Cookies and a Thank You
I ordered girl scout cookies from my grand daughter in Texas and they got here the other day in the mail along with a thank you card (she loves anything dogs, so I know these are cards she had picked out. So I took a picture of the cookies and the card an the cut out the inside of what she wrote to say. But the real reason I wanted to make the layout is the little bit I journaled about and remember this. Mylan made three facetious over the course of one day to talk to me and sell the cookies. The first time we probably talked 20 minutes and about a variety of subjects. Then 2 hours later she called back to just make sure she knew what kind of cookies I wanted because we had changed subjects so many times. Then we talked another 10 minutes about school. Then that night before she went to bed, she made another FaceTime call all giggly saying, Grandma, tell me one more time what cookies you want. I just love that sweetie.
So I went looking for a sketch I might use to make this layout and save this memory and I chose the January sketch at "MY CREATIVE SKETCHES" it worked perfectly for me and I got to add the inside parts of the card and keep Mylans handwriting at this age.
Here is the sketch and you still have over a week to enter. Check it all out HERE.

"SKETCHS IN THYME PROJECT LIFE STYLE" It has been so much fun having sketches to
inspire me to make my own cards. I hope you will join in the fun.
Here is the sketch and go HERE for the details of the challenge and see some new inspiration every day.
Here is how I used it on my PL pages.

Happy 5th Birthday Gibson
Need to get busy on some more layouts for David and Nikki and kids as they are coming to visit in about 2 weeks. I have a lot of pictures saved but starting out with these from Gibson's birthday last week.
This is my reveal for the "SKETCHES IN THYME" February 1st sketch. I always panic over cutting circles, but i get my dinner plates out and bowls and see what sizes I need. My desk ends up looking like my kitchen table. Fun times.
Check out the sketch below and all the challenge details here at "SKETCHES IN THYME" and be sure and come back everyday to see what the other DT members do.
Journey
I decided to look back through some older pictures and catch up on scrapping them. We made a couple hour stop in Baltimore in the Inner Harbor area on our road trip to New York City. I had been there one other time and just loved the area and wanted to go back again and just walk and see a few things. We got there early, about 8:30 and had planned to be there for lunch but after walking around and seeing all we wanted and of course taking a few pictures. Before 11:00 it started to rain and get windy so we decided to just head out and eat on the road as we weren't ready for an early lunch. But we got to see a lot and I'm glad we stopped. It's always a great area to stroll through.
I decided to put some of the snapshots together into a double page layout and this one just posted
on February 1 at "LET'S SCRAP" was perfect to use. Loved using a variety of dollies in different colors and also make some banners. Some favorites of mine all together. Plus got to use some of my road trip paper I've been hoarding.
Check out all the details for the challenge HERE.
