Jingle Cross Race

 

My son loves biking of all kinds, road races, mountain biking and cyclocross.   In October they went to Iowa to watch all the professional cyclocross races and also so he could enter one of the non-pro races.

I used papers from the Vicki Boutin Color Study collection and for the "LASTING MEMORIES" challenge #579.

Dance Recital

 My granddaughter had her first dance recital this last weekend.   It was just one song but still so much fun.    I've been the one driving her to class every week, because class starts at 4:00 before Mom and Dad are out of work, so I pick her up early that day from pre-school and we go to class.   So I enjoyed seeing what they have been working towards the last couple of months.

I used the December sketch challenge at  "SCRAP OUR STASH"   and added red ribbon to the tag.

Nap Time

 

I rotated sketch #238 at  "SKETCH N SCRAP"   for this layout.    I thought it was such a sweet picture of my granddaughter taking a Saturday afternoon nap in front of the fire with her puppies.

Very Good Treats

 

We made a day trip into St. Louis and St. Charles for some family time and also for some Christmas shopping.   We came home with Christmas goodies to eat.    Santa chocolates and a new mug from our lunch stop and then the next day the very best homemade cookies ever from a tiny bakery in St. Charles.  

I used the sketch #239 for "SKETCH N SCRAP" for this layout.

Christmas Outing

 

We had so much fun out in St. Charles, Mo, seeing all the decorations and getting some shopping done and buying treats for us too.

 Hey everyone!

Welcome to our first challenge for December!  Our theme over the next 2 weeks is a bit of tangent one...we'd like to see plaid on your project.

We know that for Christmas, there is a lot of buffalo plaid going on  right now, but any kind of plaid would work.  It could be ribbon, your DP, an embellishment, whatever works for you!

Game Time

 

It been two years since the whole family was together for Thanksgiving.   We all had so much fun and Mylan and I made sure that there were plenty games of Carcassonne played while we were all together, it was a favorite for everyone and we all played.

I'm using this layout for the December  "CHALLENGE YOURSELF" - Anything Goes.

Homemade Ice Cream

 

My son-in-law has this great and easy recipe for homemade ice cream.    After all the candy Elle got on Halloween they decided it would be great to cut up all the chocolate candies and add them to some homemade vanilla ice cream.     So of course if Dad is cooking, Elle has to help out too.
