All summer I've been talking about taking a road trip (only 3 hours away from home) to Shannon County, Missouri where my grandmother was born and two of her sisters still lived. Home of Current River, Jacks Fork River and so many beautiful springs, Big Springs, Round Spring, Blue Spring. Finally a week ago today my brother and I took off for the day and night. It was the most perfect Fall Day, the temperature got up to 74 (2 days later the high was 45). We visited all the springs, both rivers, saw the house where one Aunt lived and the General Store they ran in the small town for over 50 years, the Bank that my Uncle started and visited the cemetery where my great grandparents are buried and a Great Aunt that always spent Christmas's with my family.
I was pushed but the November challenge #95 at "SCRAP CHALLENGE YOURSELF" and used different stamps on the background of my layout. I used a 4 different stamps on this layout, leaves on the wood paper strip, a tree stamp, leaf/acorn garland stamp and then the stamp on my journal box. I enjoyed pushing myself to do something I don't usually do when making a layout.
