Colorado Rafting

 

It was a bucket list item for Susan and my grandkids to go white water rafting   So while on vacation this month in Colorado that got to do it.

I'm using this for the challenge at  "USE YOUR STUFF"

#429 Water/Beach

 

Happy Summer everyone!  We are happy to bring you this week's challenge!  Let's see all those BEACH OR WATER projects.... could be a trip to a beach, an ocean cruise, maybe its a beachy card...whatever you create we want to see it!

Corn

 My daughter and family planted a couple rows of corn in their backyard and my granddaughter Elle was so excited when they picked the first ear of corn.   I was pleased for them we didn't know if it would produce at all but they have gotten several ears so far.

I used the sketch at "THE STUDIO CHALLENGES" for this single picture.   It was perfect for it.

Beautiful Princess

 

A couple of weeks ago, I babysit my granddaughter for the day while Mom and Dad had work meetings and Elle's daycare class was closed because of a Covid contact.     So she came to me dressed in her princess dress and we had such aa fun day.

I used the layout sketch #231 at  "SKETCH N SCRAP"  for this layout.

Colorado Road Trip

 

My daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter have been on a 10 day road trip to Colorado.   This was their first over night stop once they got to Colorado and they loved it.   Today they get home but I've started the layouts from their trip already as they have shared so many pictures with me via text and FB.

I'm entering this the challenge #562 - Sequence  just announced today at    "LASTING MEMORIES"    it worked perfect for one choice on the Sequence challenge.  My picture are all in a vertical (sequence) row.        So that is Option #2 that I used.

The object of the game Sequence is to create horizontal, vertical, or diagonal rows of five chips on the board.  

August 22nd - LM #562 - Team B - Sequence - This week I am giving you 3 options for your challenge:

Option #1 - Create a layout with a grid background - 

Option #2 - Line up your photos in a row across your layout - this can be vertically, horizontally, or on the diagonal.

Beautiful in Mexico

 

My beautiful granddaughter Mylan while on vacation last month in Mexico.    I'm entering this at   "LASTING MEMORIES"   for Challenge #561 - UNO

The object of the game Uno is to get rid of all of the cards in your hand. When you only have one card you have to shout "UNO" to let everyone know you are down to your last card. So this week's challenge is:

This is my second entry in the August   "SCRAP CHALLENGE YOURSELF"     I just don't get that many pictures of myself.    But I took these selfies while we were out just enjoying a nice Saturday afternoon last week.    I thought it was perfect for this months challenge, because it was just what I needed,  some fresh air and seeing the beauty of nature.   Life is stressing with the big outbreaks of the Delta variance of Covid so I really wanted to do this just for myself.

Oh Yeah that was fun

 My adrenaline junkie 4 year old granddaughter had no problem going on this alpine coaster while on vacation in Colorado.   Mom didn't go but Dad was fine with taking her on the ride.    First think Elle said when she got off was "I love it"

I used the August sketch challenge at "SCRAP OUR STASH"  and added sunglasses as one of my embellishments as my summer embellie and to go with the sunglasses Dad was wearing.

Bowling

 

The grandkids and Mom and Dad took a family vacation to end the summer to Vegas to stay with the other grandkids.   Besides swimming daily in their pool they did go out for some bowling time too.

I used Sketch #481 at  "SKETCHES IN THYME"  for this layout.    I think this is going to be another sketch I'm going to keep to use again.

California trip

 My two Texas grandkids took their last summer vacation to California where there Mom is from and got to spend time with their grandparents and their two cousins that they are with in the pictures.

LM #560 - Get Your Game On! - Mario Party

Let's get on with today's challenge. Our challenges this month will all be inspired by different board/card/video games and this week's challenge will be based on the Super Mario Party video games.

The  Mario Party video games have always been a family favorite in our house. The object of the game is to finish the game with the most stars, so this week's challenge is: 

LM #560 - Super Mario Party - Add a star - or stars - to your layout.

Bahamas Vacation

 

Our daughter and family from Orlando went on a vacation to the Bahama's last month so I have several pictures they shared with us to make layouts with for them.     This is the first one I started with.

I was inspired by the Lift#93 challenge at  "SOUL-SCRAPPERS"    I was inspired by the arrangement of the pictures and the general look of the layout.    I wanted to add a few more embellishments than just the one sticker at the bottom left, so I fussy cut the hello out of a PL style card and added that to the side of the picture where they had spelled out Bahamas 2021 in the sand.   I thought that went well with it, along with the colors.   Below is inspiration scrap lift layout I followed.

Dress Up Time

 

I have all the old pictures from growing up that were at my Mom and Dads house here with me now.    So it has been so much fun going through them and seeing new pictures and remembering times in other ones.    I don't remember this, but I do recognize the furniture that was in my grandmothers bedroom.

Looks to me like I was checking out a drawer full of jewelry to see what I could wear.     To this day I love wearing rings and bracelets.   I'm not a make-up person but sometimes I wish I had more fingers and arms for rings and bracelets.

I'm entering this at "SCRAP-CHALLENGE-YOURSELF"     Here is this months challenge,   I think these pictures fit, because it shows what I still indulge myself with for my happiness.

Fresh Coconuts for everyone

 

This is my son and my two grandkids enjoying some fresh  coconut milk while on vacation last month in Playa del Carmen.    I'm  not a coconut fan at all so I kinda cringe even looking at them with it.

I'm entering this layout at "SOUL SCRAPPERS"  for their new One Word challenge OW#7.       I have a one word title "FRESH"  and I used all upper case alphas.

Greenberg Family Together

 

All the Greenberg kids and grandkids were together for a weekend in St. Louis early in July so of course we had to get a family picture.

I used the August Remix Challenge at  "SCRAP OUR STASH"  for this layout and I have the required diagonal stripped paper in 3 places.

Family is so important to me and it doesn't happen often that all the Greenberg side of the family gets together so this was an inspiration for the challenge at  "USE YOUR STUFF"   This is the Good Life.

So today's challenge is a bit of a challenge!  Our theme is INSPIRED BY REAL LIFE.    We want you create a project that is inspired by something in your life...maybe a person, a place, a thing, an event, a hobby ...something that's important to your life!

Summertime Vacation

 

I made this layout today for two challenges    "LASTING MEMORIES"   and  "USE YOUR STUFF".  This was a picture from the vacation my two grown kids and their kids took together this July.   In this picture is my daughter and her husband, and daughter and my sons daughter walking together on the resort grounds.   My son was ahead with his son and took the picture of the group.

First was the Tic-Tac-Toe board at "LASTING MEMORIES".   I did the top left to right diagonal............ Star, Summer Theme, Free Space, Bling, Chipboard.

Next is the theme challenge at  "USE YOUR STUFF"   Challenge #429 - Inspired by Real Life.

By the Seaside

 

When I saw the new challenge at   "THE PAPER PLAYERS"   this morning I knew exactly what I wanted to do for it.   I wanted to make this layout using this picture of my granddaughter under the tree by the seaside on vacation last month in Playa del Carmen.
