Taronga Zoo - Sydney, Australia

I really had fun with my take on the 4-15-16 sketch at "LET'S SCRAP"  I included some memorabilia I had from our trip to the Taronga Zoo while on vacation in Sydney, Australia.   It was probably the best zoo I have ever been to.   Especially the setting for the apes and chimps.   I have never seen such active and playful primates in a zoo surrounding.    Since my daughter is a Primatologist I was very impressed.   She got to go to Sydney a few years later and said she spent about an hour just standing and watching them run and play and was very impressed with their habitat.

This weekend I've been working on making more layouts from this 2 week vacation back in 2005.
I had made some pages from this trip years ago when I first started scrapbooking so there was a major change in my way of scrapping.

I added a couple of more pictures than the sketch showed on on the right of the sketch where they showed you could have flaps to open for various journaling and info I just included this brochure that I picked up at the zoo.

My favorite picture is the one of the giraffes and that you can see the Sydney Bridge in the background.

So check out the details here at  "LET'S SCRAP"  and i have the sketch below.

  1. A stunning take on the sketch and I love the peacock feather background.

  3. I like that you have included the Zoo leaflet on your layout. The large die-cut shape in the middle is stunning. Thanks for playing along with us at Let's Scrap.

  4. Great layout, I love the peacock patterned paper you have used on the background and the paper used for the die-cut, they work so well with the photos. And yes, the photo of the giraffes with the bridge in the background is fantastic. Great shot. Thanks for joining us at Lets Scrap.
