Carlyle House
The week before the wedding we went to the venue, the gardens behind Carlyle House, to see what was in bloom. The white dogwood trees were in full bloom and beautiful and coming down as a canopy over the walkway where Leslie would be entering the ceremony site. The dogwood is the state tree of Missouri and was my Mom's favorite flower. Since Leslie is from Missouri and also had a lot of memories from her grandmother into her ceremony she was very pleased to see the trees in bloom.
I used the sketch below for the layout. It is sketch #56 from the Sketch-n-Scrap blog. Be sure and check it out HERE there is still time to enter the challenge.

ReplyDeleteWe love dogwood trees and have one lonely one on our lake property in north east Oklahoma. It is the only one blooming at the time and always stands out among the other oak & hickory trees. Fab take on the sketch challenge! Thanks for playing along with us at Sketch N Scrap! :)
