Cuddles & Dad

My goal this month is to scrap at least one old picture a week.   This sure qualifies as it is my son and his Dad when he was about 6 months old and he turns 41 this fall.  This was also when my hobby was photo developing and this is one of pictures I developed myself.     I added some more masculine embellishments to it for the challenge #110 at  "SCRAPPING 4 FUN CHALLENGES"   My journaling tag has a metal tag opening and I just used pkg string to tie it instead of a color bakers twine.  The I added 3 squared off paper clips around the picture.   Plus (its hard to see) I have metal alphas on the bottom left of the picture that says 'hug'  Other than that I just kept it plain and simple.

Here is the link to  "SCRAPPING 4 FUN CHALLENGES"  and the rules.

3 St. Patrick's Day Cards

There is a challenge this week going on at  "BITTEN BY THE BUG 2"   The challenge is.....

Happy Monday!  Susan here to bring you this week's Bitten By the Bug 2 Cricut Challenge.  As March brings hopes of springtime, it also brings St. Patrick's Day. Being of Irish decent, we always mark St. Patrick's Day with authentic Irish food and a few fun traditions.  This week's challenge,

SHOW US YOUR SHAMROCKS

pays tribute to my Irish heritage, as well as that of many millions of Americans.  I hope you get out your green card stock and join in us in preparing for St. Patrick's Day!!

For this challenge I got out my "Celebrate With A Flourish" cartridge and started cutting out double shamrocks for my 3 cards I needed for family to mail out for the holiday.   The top card 'Irish Luck'  I cut two double shamrocks set at 2" for my card and then the Be Irish card I cut the shamrock at 3"
and finally the card with the stamped sentiment (it's for my Dad) I cut the shamrocks at 2.5"

This was a fun challenge and I got to use my all time favorite cartridge.   Here is the link to the challenge at  "BITTEN BY THE BUG 2"

St Pat's card #2

I made another card for the challenge at  "FANTABULOUS CRICUT CHALLENGE BLOG"
I once again went to my all time favorite cartridge (even though I've had it for ages"  'Celebrate With A Flourish'.   This time I cut two 2" shamrocks and added them on this card for my granddaughter.   I used green ink again for all my card and paper edges and then used green alphas for my sentiment.

Challenge #321-St. Patricks Day/Green

---------------------------------_-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am also going to enter this card in one more challenge at  "DIE CUTTIN' DIVA'S"
The challenge #359 is - Use Green

Ch #359 ~ Use Green

Hello Crafty Divas,

Welcome back and thanks for joining us! We have a new Die Cuttin' Diva challenge this week and we sure hope you will share your card, tag, layout, or altered project.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Use Green ~

Happy St. Pat's Day

I made this St. Pat's day card to send to my Dad.   I went with the stamped sentiment  "Thankful for you everyday" because that is how I feel about him instead of a St. Pat's Day sentiment.   But I have the shamrocks and I stamped in green so all is good for The Irish.
I used the Celebrate with a Flourish (my all time favorite cartridge) for the double shamrock and I cut it at 2.5 inches.

I am going to enter this card at   "FANTABULOUS CRICUT"

Challenge #321-St. Patricks Day/Green

I am also going to enter my card at  "USE YOUR STUFF"    The latest challenge is

"ANYTHING GOES"
I used some stuff I haven't used in awhile,  first of all my cricut,  I haven't used it in well over a month, plus I haven't made a card in two months, so that means I hadn't gotten out the stamp set for my sentiment in beyond ages, because I was surprised when I found it today.

Father Daughter Dance

This is our granddaughter in Orlando and her Dad getting ready to go to the Father Daughter Dance.
I don't have any details but I think it might have been a masquerade dance since they both have masks.   I already made a layout of a single picture of Avery with a close up of her face wearing her mask.   But this sketch at  "STUCK?!  SKETCHES"  was perfect for the other 3 pictures of the two of them together before they left for the dance.    I am also entering this layout at  "PAPER ISSUES" facebook group as they are partnering with this sketch for their Partner Up challenge in March.
So a double challenge with one sketch.

Here is the sketch and the link to  "STUCK?!  SKETCHES".    This is the first sketch for the month and there  will be another one on the 15th and as always great prizes for several winners each month.

I am also going to enter this layout in one more challenge.   The challenge at  "STINKIN' INKERS"
is  ........

The theme for this month's challenge is:
"Wishy Washi"

Please use washi tape somewhere on your project or card.

I have two long strips of Washi tape on my layout,  it is the blue/brown squares above and below the pictures.

First PL page for March

I finished my first March project life page today and I used the sketch #97 from  "SKETCHES IN THYME PROJECT LIFE STYLE"  to do one of the pockets.   I wanted to make sure I documented the Nor'Easter going on the last few days.  So I found 4 pictures and printed them in a mini size and made my card along with the journaling about it.

Here is the link to  "SKETCHES IN THYME PROJECT LIFE STYLE"  and the sketch for the card and then a picture of my full page with the card on it.

Music

I'm having fun being the guest designer at  "LASTING MEMORIES"  this month and playing along with the weekly challenges with the theme of  March - National Month of .......

This week the challenge is about   "Music in Our Schools Month"   Silas isn't in school yet but he already loves music,  and right now he is trying to play the guitar just like his grandpa.   It looks like he knows how to hold it just right so maybe he will be a further  Rock Star.   I know his love of music will continue in school and beyond.   He comes by it naturally.

Here is the link to  "LASTING MEMORIES"  and this months challenges.

Make a layout about kids and music or about school.
