Come On Down to My Boat Baby

I hated not to spend the entire day scrapping yesterday on NSD, but..... we have been waiting for over a month for the water level to go up and be able to get our boat out and off the lift at our dock.
No more worries after this as dock is getting extended 10 ft in a few weeks so no worries next spring.
But finally yesterday afternoon the water was totally up and out we went.   We hadn't been out since last October so it was so great to go back out and just relax and enjoy the sun and the views.
So even if I wasn't scrapping I got pictures to scrap today.

I used the sketch at  "SKETCH N SCRAP"  for this layout.  This was the first sketch for their 6th Birthday Bash Crop going on all month.   Besides the sketch there is also a twist, and that is to use 6 items on your layout that is over 2 years old,  I have my stamped image tag, the square brad on it,  the bling at the bottom of the page, the two little journaling tags, my alphas for the title and the 3 square gold bling.

Hello Manatee

Still scrapping away for NSD.   Been so busy doing layouts getting ready for the day and I'm loving every minute of it.

I used the sketch at   "SKETCH N SCRAP"   for  NSD 2018.   I really loved working with this and trying to get all the papers together and all the angles laid out and working for everything.  

I used a couple of pictures from my granddaughters trip to Florida and visit with her Papa Don.   They were out and about all the time, I'm not sure who was having more fun, Elle, Papa Don or her Mom and Dad.   They didn't see any Manatees at Manatee Lagoon, but looks like they still had fun.
Sure glad there were sea turtles in the picture wall because I had fun cutting these turtles with my cricut.   First time I had made any.

Starting May PL pages

I wanted to start my first May PL page but first I had to check for the newest sketch over at
"SKETCHES IN THYME PROJECT LIFE STYLE"  Sketch #101 is perfect for my May title card for my first page.     Here is the sketch and the link is above.    Then I have also added my first page that I
have made for May.  I'm not doing exact weeks at a time, just as things come along through the month.

I made this layout with the new challenge at  "LASTING MEMORIES"  in mind and cut out a bunch of different size stars to make my own background on my cardstock.    I added a strip of paper to the left to go with the colors of her hat and then inked the white and black stars with similar colors of ink.

I really don't know what Elle was doing in this picture, they were on vacation in Florida, but as soon as they sent it to me, all I could think was STOP.  It just liked she was telling everyone to stop and let her do what she wanted.  LOL

Look Papa Don

This was definitely outside of the box for me with the sketch at  "LET'S GET SKETCHY" with all of the diamond shapes that were in the sketch for April 1st.   But with just a couple of days left in the challenge I got it made.    Here are all the details and links to  "LET'S GET SKETCHY"

Happy Easter all and welcome to another installation of LGS.  We have another great sketch for you this week!  This week we are thinking outside the box and inside of the triangles!

Pretty Girl

I'm entering this layout at  "LASTING MEMORIES"  for challenge #389.

LM #389 - Try a new paper technique on your layout (paper weaving, paper folding, quilling, paper lollies, rolled paper flowers, paper fringe etc.)

I did paper weaving with my strips of paper on top of my background paper.

On The Runway

I saw these pictures that my brother took of my granddaughter, he was out with the kids last weekend when they were touring some of the Parade of Homes in their town.   Bruce just put the big stocking cap he was wearing on top of Elle's head as she was walking away.    So when I saw them I thought it would make a cute layout.   Plus it's fun to see new pictures of her that I didn't take.

I was inspired making this layout from the challenge #390 at  "LASTING MEMORIES"   Wasn't sure I was going to try it but glad I did.   I made my background out of two different patterns of washi tape and then did faux stitching with two different colors of pens to make my own background on my grey card stock.  I don't use a lot of washi tape so this turned out to be a good way to used some that I had on hand.

LM #390 - All About Paper - Make Your Own Background

Today is the start of a new challenge here at Lasting Memories. Our theme this month is "All About Paper" and this week is all about the background.

LM - #390 - Make your own background paper (start with solid cardstock, use mixed media, paint and/or sprays, tie die it, stamp it, etc)

That's right, we want to see what kind of a background that you create
