Up Up & Away in my beautiful balloon

Sorry for the picture quality, its rainy and foggy here and going to be that way for next 2-3 days so didn't want to wait to get this posted.

This is my 2nd layout from our hot air balloon trip on our vacation last week.    WE had a blast.
It's hard to get full pictures in a 3 man basket, but we took pictures of each other while up in the air.
We were in Albuquerque and couldn't see the mountains to well in the distance because of a haze that morning but we flew over a lot of homes, a stream and a small river and that was fun.     We could hear all the dogs barking everytime the air was heated.   They reacted to that noise every time.   But other than those times it was so peaceful just floating up in the air.

For this layout I used the Make It Monday Sketch #37 at "The Memory Nest"   I thought it was perfect for just the pictures of each of us in the balloon.    I was so thrilled to have this balloon paper in the Echo Park - Sweet Day collection.

Check out all the details for the challenge HERE for the "The Memory Nest" challenge.

Getting Ready

I'm starting to scrap our vacation pictures and starting off with our last event before going home.
That was our Easter morning Sunrise Hot Air Balloon ride in Albuquerque, NM.    This was the first time for both of us and we loved it.   We got to start by helping out with unloading the balloon and then helping to inflate it.

I used sketch #78 from "Sketch-N-Scrap" because it was perfect for using multiple pictures and one big balloon embellishment.

Here is the sketch, I followed it very closely and be sure and check out all the details   HERE  at
"Sketch-N-Scrap" and join in the fun.    You will have a chance to win a set of great Spring wood veneer shapes.

Rehearsal Brunch

I'm back again with more wedding layouts.  I didn't have very many good pictures from the rehearsal brunch, the room was really dark so pics didn't turn out to great.   But with the newest double page sketch at "Scrap Much?!" I decided to use it for some of the pictures I have.   Because of only having horizontal pictures, I changed up the sketch a bit and instead of 2 vertical pictures on the right hand page, I did one 5x7 horizontal of Jason and Leslie talking to everyone and thanking them for coming to the wedding and supporting them.   So I think this sketch at "Scrap Much?!" was perfect for everything I wanted to showcase on my layout.

You can see the sketch below and check out the details for the challenge at "Scrap Much?!" HERE.

Helping Grandma Cook

I'm anything but a chronological scrapper.   Yesterday I made a layout from pictures from 1979, today its from Thanksgiving 2014 and tomorrow it may be of a picture I just took 3 hours earlier.

When I saw this sketch at "Let's Sketch" I remembered all the pictures that were taken at Thanksgiving when Mylan wanted to help me cut up the onions and celery for our stuffing.   It was so much fun doing this with her and I shared the story about how there is no written recipe for the stuffing we make but I learned how to make it over the years just helping and watching my grandmother just like she was doing now.    I am also happy to report that there were no fingers loss in this process.   :)   Always a good thing.

So I hope you go check out the details   HERE   for this challenge at "Let's Sketch" and think about what group of pictures you might want to scrap with this great sketch.

Flower Garden Card

This is one of my favorite sentiments I have.   So I decided to just add a garden full of shiny spring flowers to it and call it a day.   :)

I'm going to enter this card at the challenge #38 at "Scrapping 4 Fun" - Spring or Easter.
I don't have any Easter pictures yet to scrap and don't have my spring flowers planted yet.
So I thought this was just the perfect springtime themed card.

Check out the challenge at "Scrapping 4 Fun"    HERE.   You can enter through April 2nd.

Cruising

One more layout of the grandkids in Florida over Spring Break.    I decided to go with the bright colors from the  My Minds Eye - Kate & Co. collection for pictures on a sunny day in Florida.

I used this fantastic sketch at "STUCK?!SKETCHES"  it was perfect for these two pictures I had of the kids with Grandpa Don in his golf cart getting ready to go cruising around the neighborhood.

You can see the sketch below and click  HERE  for more info on the challenge at "Stuck?!Sketches"   There are still a few days left to enter.

SILAS

I've been waiting for the right male pictures for the layout at "BOY'S RULE"  and  last night I got the perfect ones.   My niece who lives in Sydney, Australia had her first child, a little boy named Silas.
Her Dad, my brother, has been over there for 3 weeks now waiting for the arrival of his first grandchild.   So I made this layout using this great grid sketch at "BOY'S RULE"    It's been a long time since I got into my stash of baby papers and embellies.   But I had this perfect background paper.
I also had the baby bottles die cuts left from a swap I had been in.   I had pink and blue ones.   So was just the right size to put in one of the squares.     I'll add the sketch below and you can read all the details of the  "BOY'S RULE"  challenge   HERE.
